Our student, Master. Abhay Patil, volunteered and showcased his impressive calligraphy skills at the National Level Seminar titled 'Revisiting the Intersectionality of Literature, Gender, and Caste,' which was organized by the Department of English Studies at Vijayanagara Shri Krishnadevaraya University in Ballari, Karnataka.
*His contribution was met with great appreciation, and he was awarded a certificate in recognition of his talent and dedication to the event.*
The Department of English at Ganpat Parsekar College of Education participated in the National Level Seminar titled 'Revisiting the Intersectionality of Literature, Gender and Caste' organized by the Department of English Studies at Vijayanagara Shri Krishnadevaraya University, Ballari, Karnataka.
A delegation of students and accompanying faculty members represented the college at the seminar. The students' research papers explored various dimensions of gender, caste, and literature. The participating students and their research paper topics were as follows:
• Ms. Yukta Korgaokar (T.Y.B.A.B.Ed) - 'Beyond Pink and Blue: Navigating Gender in 'Bombay Begums' and other earthly dimensions'
• Ms. Kalpita Khadpe (T.Y.B.A.B.Ed) - 'Dancing Beyond Boundaries: Gender Dynamics and Caste in R.K. Narayan’s _The Guide_ onscreen'
• Ms. Srisha Kerkar - 'Explaining Gender and Multiplicity in Manju Kapur’s _A Married Woman_ '
• Ms. Rutuja Gauns Dessai - 'Once Upon a Time: A stunning showcase of how fairy tales empower women to shine… Not!'
• Ms. Suvidha Rane - 'Navigating Gender Mosaic: Unveiling diverse experiences in _A Suitable Boy_ by Vikram Seth'
The students received invaluable guidance from the distinguished Dalit writer and former IAS officer, P. Sivakami, throughout their participation in the seminar.
The commendable efforts of the undergraduate students of Ganpat Parsekar College of Education were appreciated by all during the National Level Seminar. The students showcased their exceptional ability to understand the subject matter of their research papers, reflecting both their dedication to academic exploration and the quality of education provided by the college.

The English Literary Club "Euphoria" at GPCOE hosted an online photography competition in celebration of India's 77th Independence Day. The purpose of this competition was to honour India's diverse and vibrant culture through the art of photography, centred around the theme "Capturing Colours of India." This theme prompted participants to exhibit India's rich spectrum of traditions, landscapes, and emotions, encapsulating the essence of the nation. The event garnered an immensely positive response, featuring numerous captivating entries that eloquently portrayed the multifaceted hues of India. Through this initiative, the English Literary Club facilitated artistic exploration while nurturing a collective sense of national pride among both participants and viewers.
