COLLEGE HUMANITIES CLUB

Name of the activity: debate

The club organised a debate on Impact of Technology on Students lifestyle to understand their view points on the same.
6 group were created and the every member of the group had to express their views.

The activities was very fruitful as we could see a very good response and 100% students participation. It made them introspect on their current lifestyle and the role of technology in their life both in a positive as well as negative way.

Name of the activity: Elections of Club Representatives, students introduction

The club organised a session on student and faculty introduction where each student had to come infornt and introduce their peers. This made them understand their peers, their habits and skills.
It was followed by the elections of students representatives.
On the same day two competitions were announced to create a club logo and slogan on prevention of drugs .


The Department of English at our institution hosted a delightful "Food Fiesta" event for F. Y. B. A. B. Ed students on October 4th, 2023. The event took place in Classroom 2, located next to the Language Staff Room, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

The Food Fiesta offered an array of mouthwatering dishes, creating a feast of flavors for all attendees. Students had the opportunity to indulge in a variety of delectable treats, making it a memorable culinary experience.

The event was a resounding success, with students celebrating the joy of food and coming together to savor the delicious offerings. It provided a fantastic platform for students to bond over their shared love for good food and camaraderie.

Overall, the "Food Fiesta" organized by the Department of English was a delectable delight, leaving everyone looking forward to future events that celebrate the pleasures of food and community.

 The Chemistry Department of Ganpat Parsekar College of Education selected two students, Ms. Arya Vaze and Ms. Tanasvi Gaunkar, from the T.Y.B.Sc.B.Ed. program to represent them at a state-level quiz competition. The students were accompanied by Assistant Professor, Dr. Akshay Salkar. This competition was a part of a workshop titled "Emerging Trends in Chemistry and its Allied Sciences," organized by D.C.T’s Dhempe College of Arts & Science in Miramar, Goa. The quiz was conducted by the renowned scientist, Dr. V. Jayathirtha Rao, adding an extra layer of prestige to the event. This experience not only allowed them to showcase their academic prowess but also provided them with a platform to expand their understanding of the subject.

Fo.Y.B.Sc.B.Ed. and T.Y.B.Sc.B.Ed. Students from Ganpat Parsekar College of Education's Chemistry Department visited NCPOR for a field trip. They attended a presentation by NCPOR scientists, gaining insights into polar and ocean research. Afterward, they explored NCPOR's lab, where they observed a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) instrument in action. The experience was instrumental in deepening their understanding of scientific research and microscopy.

Our student, Master. Abhay Patil, volunteered and showcased his impressive calligraphy skills at the National Level Seminar titled 'Revisiting the Intersectionality of Literature, Gender, and Caste,' which was organized by the Department of English Studies at Vijayanagara Shri Krishnadevaraya University in Ballari, Karnataka.
*His contribution was met with great appreciation, and he was awarded a certificate in recognition of his talent and dedication to the event.*
The Department of English at Ganpat Parsekar College of Education participated in the National Level Seminar titled 'Revisiting the Intersectionality of Literature, Gender and Caste' organized by the Department of English Studies at Vijayanagara Shri Krishnadevaraya University, Ballari, Karnataka. 

A delegation of students and accompanying faculty members represented the college at the seminar. The students' research papers explored various dimensions of gender, caste, and literature. The participating students and their research paper topics were as follows: 

• Ms. Yukta Korgaokar (T.Y.B.A.B.Ed) - 'Beyond Pink and Blue: Navigating Gender in 'Bombay Begums' and other earthly dimensions'

• Ms. Kalpita Khadpe (T.Y.B.A.B.Ed) - 'Dancing Beyond Boundaries: Gender Dynamics and Caste in R.K. Narayan’s _The Guide_ onscreen'

• Ms. Srisha Kerkar - 'Explaining Gender and Multiplicity in Manju Kapur’s _A Married Woman_ '

• Ms. Rutuja Gauns Dessai - 'Once Upon a Time: A stunning showcase of how fairy tales empower women to shine… Not!'

• Ms. Suvidha Rane - 'Navigating Gender Mosaic: Unveiling diverse experiences in _A Suitable Boy_ by Vikram Seth'


The students received invaluable guidance from the distinguished Dalit writer and former IAS officer, P. Sivakami, throughout their participation in the seminar.

The commendable efforts of the undergraduate students of Ganpat Parsekar College of Education were appreciated by all during the National Level Seminar. The students showcased their exceptional ability to understand the subject matter of their research papers, reflecting both their dedication to academic exploration and the quality of education provided by the college.
